United Way Queensland improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around Queensland to advance the common good. We achieve this by addressing the underlying causes of the significant local issues. We advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. These are the building blocks of a good life: a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through to retirement, good health. Our goal is to create long lasting changes that address the underlying causes of community issues.

Photography is generally regarded as a common thread in our social and commercial lives. It is not only a way of recording events but also communicating visual and creative expression. Thus the Local Eyes Brisbane project enables members of diverse community groups of United Way Queensland to express their experiences and perspectives of Brisbane.
